A River Runs Through It

All 16 inches of snow is melted and in its place is mud and rain. We live on a hill so flooding is not a problem but we do have some low spots in the yard and it looks like we have a creek running through our back yard. Liz had gymnastics after school and Daniel did his homework while waiting for her so everyone had about an hour to play when we got home. All three say they didn't jump in the puddles but all three were covered in mud splatters when they came in the house. It is nice to have more daylight in the evenings and the warmer temps.

Jonathan has been walking for about a month now. He is now at the stage where he hardly ever sits because walking and getting into everything is much more fun. He can climb on the big kids' beds, open their dresser drawers, and get all the books on the bottom two shelves. The piano has become about the only high place to put things out of his reach. Recently we cleared it off because it had two Valentine's boxes, one bag of Valentines, a pinewood derby car, marbles, and two weeks worth of school and Cub Scout papers.
