More like a journal

This week Daniel has been on Fall break so my parents took myself and the kids to Great Wolf Lodge just north of Cincinatti. It is a hotel with an indoor water park. The kids loved it! There were water slides, a water coaster, and even a wave pool. Daniel went on the water coaster three times, and Elizabeth was able to ride all the other slides with a double tube. Rachel loved all the water spouts and the wave pool. The hotel also has this game called MagiQuest that D and E participated in. It is basically a scavenger hunt with magic wands. You buy a wand that has an end like a TV remote and you get a book that has different quests in it and then you get to explore different parts of the hotel looking for different paintings and statues that magically light up when you point the wand at it. It was a lot of fun and by the time we left D and E were both Master Magi.

In the interest of full disclosure I scraped my knee on the bottom of the kiddie pool about fifteen minutes after we got there. It started to bleed so I had to get out and get a lifeguard to bandage me up. Fun times.

While we were gone Curtis has been working on the kid's room. Before he got started it had two doors, pink carpet, blue/gray faux wood paneling and crumbling dry wall behind the paneling. (We didn'tknow about the dry wall part before he got started.) Now it has no paneling, no dry wall, and while there are still two door openings there is only one door. While I type Curtis and his dad, Phillip, are prepping the studs for more dry wall. More to come on that front.
