Daniel, Jonathan, and I attended the Blue and Gold banquet for Cub Scouts this week. Each of the scouts made an item out of recyclable things. D made the treehouse from the "Magic Treehouse" book series. He used TP rolls for the trees and had a small box for the house. He even made tiny books for the inside!
Elizabeth has started going to a dance class on Tuesdays. A lady from church has been teaching the class for awhile and Liz just loves it! She has a pink leotard with a little pink skirt and she is just in heaven. Grandma has been taking her because it overlaps with D's piano lessons and my mom says she has a good time and listens to her teacher.
Rachel loves to get into everything she can. This week it was fun dip from Valentine's day. She opened it up and shook it out all over the bedroom floor! Luckily it wasn't wet so it vacuumed right up. This picture is how she really feels about her baby brother. Rachel loves on him every chance she gets and if he won't stop crying despite her efforts she declares, "He needs milk."
Curtis and I went to the Temple Thursday night so Jonathan got a bottle for the first time. Mom said he downed my milk with no problem but choked on the formula. Next time I will leave her with plenty of the good stuff!
It was so good to feel at peace at the temple. I went with nothing specific in mind, just wanting to feel the quietness and the slowness of it all. I love my children but they tend to be very loud and demanding. It was nice for a few hours to have no one asking for a drink or food or crying.
At FHE on Monday we came up with a family motto and wrote down some rules. Our motto is "Nalls make good choices." When things start getting crazy I say, "Nalls make good choices," and it has had the affect of calming things down.
