Daniel is definitely a regular visitor to the land of Make-Believe. He copies or imitates just about everything Curtis and I do. He mows the lawn just like Daddy, even turning the lawnmower around at the end of each row. Yesterday we went to GE to have lunch with Curtis in his office. Daniel was pretending to answer the phone like Curtis and even got some paper and a pen out of my purse so he could write down notes. He goes grocery shopping and cooks like Mommy. Daniel has starting involving his "babies" in these activities. He asks me if they are cute or well behaved while putting them to bed or feeding them. Daniel also loves the "Thomas the Tank Engine" stories and he reenacts the stories on his train table. Some mornings Daniel will tell me that today he is a particular animal (dog, cat, parakeet, giraffe, or zebra so far). He will not answer to Daniel but only as the particular animal he is pretending to be. It has been fun to watch him learn and grow this way.
Pictures to come of Blustery Day 2008.

I can't believe that Daniel is 3! I remember when he was born and how little he was! By the way, congrats on having a girl soon!
